The emphasis on practice infused with fundamental science and mathematics offers ample research opportunities, both theoretical and experimental, at the forefront of the field and its interdisciplinary applications. EE is closely tied with Harvard’s efforts in Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Computer Science, and Bioengineering.
MS – Bioengineering – University Of Harvard
This is a diverse and growing area for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS). It encompasses many areas including bio-materials, bio-mechanics including robotics, biophysics and neuromotor control. The model programs for most of these areas are under development. Students should consult their field advisor and Professors Howe or Mooney for guidance in constructing a program in an area other then cells, tissue and bio materials.
BS – Mechanical and Materials Sciences and Engineering – University Of Harvard
The goal of the program is for our students to develop strong foundations in the mathematical and physical principles, and applications, underlying mechanics as a branch of continuum mechanics and applied physics. Students can choose to undertake additional course work in related areas of Engineering Sciences and Applied Physics/Material Sciences/Geophysics. The scope of the program is quite wide and students enter with varying backgrounds.
