The School of Engineering and Applied Science, which grants the Bachelor of Science in Engineering, offers unusual curricular versatility and breadth. The goal of the school is to educate leaders who can solve world problems. In the spring of the freshman year, students select a concentration in one of six departments. CE – Chemical Engineering and Materials Science – University of Southern California
Chemical Engineering is the only engineering discipline that makes extensive use of chemical transformations (reactions) in addition to physical transformations (refining, molding or machining) to achieve added value. Chemical engineers are employed in virtually all manufacturing industries, from the basic chemical, materials, energy, food, pharmaceutical and microelectronics industries to the myriad consumer product industries. Our various curricula are designed to produce graduates who are broadly educated as well as highly adaptable.
BS – Mechanical Engineering – University Of Wisconsin Madison
The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the largest departments in the College of Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.Mechanical engineers are increasingly being called upon to improve the efficiency of processes so that they require less energy and production time, and have a reduced impact on the environment. The diversity within the Mechanical Engineering curriculum provides graduates with a breadth of career opportunities including sales, marketing, management and design.
