The last two semesters of the IPD studio sequence consist of the IPD Final Project. Students are given the opportunity to work on design problems that follow their passion or to work on a real world problem provided by our partners in academia, industry, or the non-profit world.

Requirements

Research & Technical Papers

The Master’s Design Thesis is a 3 CU research and studio project, expected to be achieved in 3 semesters. The project is an opportunity to manifest a synthesis of art, technology and business strategy, and to push the envelope of design possibility in the context of user need and market forces.

Text / Exam Scores

GRE scores is required – official score report for the Graduate Record Exam (GMAT scores will be accepted).

Applicants whose native language is not English are required to satisfy English language proficiency requirement by submitting an official score report for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with the score of at least 600 (written test), 250 (computer-based test) or 100 (Internet-based test).

Application Requirements:

Every application requires the following:

  • Personal statement of research and professional interests
  • Two official letters of recommendation (one should be from a faculty member who is familiar with the candidate’s scholarly abilities)
  • One official transcript from each university or college attended, including an academic evaluation that lists candidate’s class rank and grade point average
  • Submission GRE scores is required – official score report for the Graduate Record Exam (GMAT scores will be accepted)
