Carnegie Scholarships
Carnegie Mellon offers a Carnegie Scholarship to incoming first-year students. Carnegie Scholarships are awarded to academically and artistically talented middle income students who qualify for little to no need-based financial aid. Carnegie Scholarships are open to all qualified U.S. citizens and permanent residents, regardless of race or national origin. You must apply for need-based financial aid to be considered.
Reserve Officer Training Corp (ROTC) Scholarships
Air Force ROTC Scholarships
Two-, three- and three-and-a-half year scholarships are available to qualified undergraduate and graduate Carnegie Mellon students who join the Air Force ROTC program. Scholarships range from $15,000/year toward tuition, plus $600 for books/year and a monthly tax-free allowance that ranges from $250-400/month depending on your year in school.
Army ROTC Scholarships
The Army ROTC offers two, three and four year scholarships to qualified students. The scholarships cover full tuition and fees per year plus $1,200 per year for books. All contracted students also receive stipends of $300-500 per month.
Naval-Marine Corps ROTC Scholarships
The NROTC offers two-, three- and four-year scholarships based on competitive national and regional selection. While on a Naval scholarship, the student will receive full tuition (including all related fees), a textbook stipend of $750 per year, a monthly stipend (starting at $250 per month freshman year and increasing to $400 per month by senior year) and full active-duty pay and benefits while on summer training cruises.
Corporate & Foundation Partner Scholarships
Carnegie Mellon also offers several scholarships from select corporate and foundation partners to students who demonstrate financial need via the financial aid process and meet the selection criteria requirements of the partners.
