Scholarships

Yes.(Fellowship awards and the designation of alternates) will be made by March 20. Students who applied for aid will be notified then of their status, either in a separate letter (if they have already been notified of admission) or as part of their admission letter. Applicants have until April 15 to decide whether to accept the offer, although of course we would like to know as soon as your mind is made up.

Course Details

Course Structure

The departmental requirements of this major include a core set of courses required of every Aeronautics and Astronautics major; a set of depth areas from which two areas (four courses) must be chosen; and an engineering elective. Students are expected to consult closely with an advisor about how best to satisfy these and all other requirements of the major, to submit a program planning sheet when declaring the major, and to have a final plan (program sheet) approved by the advisor and department at least one quarter prior to graduation.

International Exchange & Double Degrees

Stanford accepts a small number of undergraduate transfer students each year. Requirements for admission are described as part of the undergraduate application process and are listed on the Undergraduate Admission website. Stanford University has a designated adviser who coordinates support for transfer students.

Engineering Research Administration (ERA) at the School of Engineering (SoE) at Stanford University supports the pre-and post-research administrative activities of SoE Principal Investigators. From the initial proposal submission to the award’s final close out, ERA supports excellence and growth in research by delivering quality service, promoting compliance, and harnessing efficiencies.

Once this information has been saved, you can access a ‘School Forms’ section of the Common App where teachers and counselors can be identified.
